This Privacy Policy applies to all information, including personal information, collected by CapableCo Pty Ltd ABN 50 607 961 339, an Australian company, via  the www.Capable.Co website.

Your privacy is very important to us. For that reason, please read the following details carefully and get in contact with us if you have any questions or complaints. You can contact us using the contact link on the CapableCo website.

We will response to your questions or complaints by either email or phone.

Collection and Purpose

We will collect and store information, including personal information, from you in the course of your use of CapableCo. This includes most significantly a username, password (hash) and email. In addition, we also place and collect cookies from your computer, enabling us to both tell when you use CapableCo and help customise your CapableCo experience.

The purposes for which we collect personal information are:

1.     to provide you with the best service experience possible on CapableCo;

2.     because you have provided this information as part of your use of CapableCo;

3.     for the financial and administrative management of your use of CapableCo.

Some provision of personal information is optional (e.g. your email). However, if you do not provide us with certain types of personal information, you may not be able to enjoy the full functionality of CapableCo.

Storage of personal information by service providers

We use Amazon.com as our Cloud Service Provider. We store your data with them as we believe they are the most secure system available currently.

We will not disclose/store your data to/with any other third party except in the unlikely event that we are compelled by law, OR explicitly given consent by you.

Access and correction

National Privacy Principle 6 of the Australian Privacy Act 1998 (Cth) allows you to get access to, and correct, the personal information we hold about you in certain circumstances. If you would like to obtain such access, please contact us via the website contact page.

You must be able to make similar assurances to those who you store data about within the CapableCo system.

Security

We have processes in place to ensure the security of your personal information.  These include encryption of all data during transfer to our service providers and limitations on access to personal information within our organisation.

We will implement reasonable and appropriate measures designed to help you secure Your Content against accidental or unlawful loss, access or disclosure.

Transfer of data out of your region

As of the 2016/2017 financial year, the data you submit through CapableCo is stored by Amazon.com in Sydney only. There are no servers that store your data outside Australia.

Responsibility for data you submit, including your clients’ personal information

You agree you are responsible for ensuring that data you store with us is both legal and in compliance with relevant privacy laws for any information that you submit to CapableCo, including your clients’ personal information,  to be transferred to and stored by CapableCo Pty Ltd.

If you actively setup your system in CapableCo such that it exposes or sends your data to external entities, it is your responsibility to comply with appropriate privacy laws. An example of this is where you setup your system to send information via API calls to external entities that you are coordinating with.

Ownership of and deletion and backup of your data

We do not consider your data to be owned by anyone other than you. We assume you take responsibility for it as such.

Deletion of data at the website progresses through phases. Not uncommonly data/records will be deleted by mistake, and either administrators of your data OR we are requested to restore it.

There are automated processes where if data is marked deleted (and not restored) several months down the track it is actually irreversibly removed from the database.

Obviously backups of your data are created so that data is not lost accidentally, especially by you. Backups of your data are automatically stored each 6 hours with a complete Snapshot at 24 hours. Backups are deleted progressively over time and by 6 months only 1 automatic copy per month is retained. If you wish for your backups to be manually deleted a direct request needs to be made.
